#IWSG Spring Fever? Me, too.

It's the first Wednesday of the month! Time for the Insecure Writer's Support Group. Join  us HERE!

Don't forget to follow this month's amazing co-hosts!

These timeless talents are E.M.A. Timar, J. Q. Rose, C.Lee McKenzie, and Raimey Gallant!

It's spring! Does this season encourage you to write more than others, or not?

I have a novel coming out and am scrambling to support it. The combination of this with my other jobs has made this last season's progress laughable. My colleagues and I are like the unstoppable force versus the immovable object paradox. I am struggling to stay positive about this season. Ha. But isn't it like this every season? Does a writer have a "good" season?

How is your spring going?

Once again, thank you to our amazing co-hosts and Alex J. Cavanaugh for his tireless efforts to help others through his fantastic brain child.

  1. Congratulations, Wahoo! I think the fact you finished and the fact that you have a novel coming out is great season, but honestly writing should never depend on a season since we are writers. Writers write.

“Just write every day of your life. Read intensely. Then see what happens. Most of my friends who are put on that diet have very pleasant careers.”

  3. Congratulations on your coming release! That is amazing. It is challenging to stay positive and stay writing when you feel you are being pulled in a dozen directions. I think one of the most valuable things I have heard from an agent/writer was that writers should be kinder to themselves.
This business isn't easy. It is a marathon effort. Sometimes that means just keeping pace and not sprinting. Give yourself the credit you deserve. You made some progress even with everything else going on. You should celebrate that. Best of luck!

    1. Thank you! As a contractor working from home it's hard to decide what to prioritize first. I feel like I'm constantly spinning plates while juggling basic chores. If one plate stops spinning and drops I'll admit, I more than lose it. I'm trying to learn not to freak out so much. Appreciate your support!
